Summary: The Auditions Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative support for the recruitment process of vacant seats in the orchestra. This role involves managing the entire audition process, from confirming vacancies to delivering audition days and communicating results to candidates. The coordinator will collaborate with various stakeholders to enhance the efficiency of the audition process. This position is a fixed-term contract for six months at 0.5 FTE.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all vacancies have a timeline for recruitment
- Ensure all paperwork for recruitment is in good order
- Advertise positions
- Manage candidate and panel queries, acting as main point of contact
- Run audition days
- Ensure candidates are informed of outcomes
- Work closely with chairs of panels, the Orchestra Committee, and the Orchestra Personnel Manager to ensure smooth delivery of auditions
- Action the list of improvements needed to streamline the auditions process
- As required by the CEO
Key Skills:
- Good administrative skills
- Good IT skills, including MS Office
- Good people skills, especially in managing candidates and key stakeholders
- Previous experience with auditions or recruitment (desirable)
- Experience working with a professional orchestra (desirable)
- Ability to read music (desirable)
