We're looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Audit Manager to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to provide independent assurance over the Bank’s key risk areas, especially those relating to Customers and Conduct. The TSB Internal Audit team has c. 45 colleagues based across London, Edinburgh and Barnwood. As an integral part of the team, you’ll forge excellent relationships with stakeholders, developing a great understanding of their business and provide them with valuable insight on their governance, risk management and control environment. As well as delivering high quality and impactful audits you’ll also help shape the audit plan and drive continuous improvement within the department.
How You’ll Make a Difference
- Grow your specialist knowledge and network, becoming recognised inside and outside the department for your expert insight.
- Help shape the audit plan and contribute to the development of the audit plan.
- Lead increasingly large or complex audits maintaining good quality, time, and budget standards.
- Contribute to the strategic thinking and direction of the audit team and play an important role in shaping parts of the annual audit plan.
- Coach and develop others in the wider team.
What you'll bring
- Considerable experience of managing risk and controls, preferably from leading and delivering audits within an Internal Audit environment.
- An understanding of the retail banking sector including the regulatory environment and challenges faced by mid-tier banks.
- A critical thinker who can positively influence others to think differently.
- A collaborative team player with a growth mindset and an appetite to learn and develop.
- Strong planning and organisational skills, proven ability to deliver to timelines, experience with managing and delivering multiple tasks.
- Good understanding of Customer Banking and Conduct risks and controls and how to apply these through your audit work.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and experience of delivering potentially challenging messages to senior management; excellent attention to detail.
- Strong internal and external stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Relevant qualifications would be an advantage, but not essential
- Experience of using Agile project management principles and ways of working would also be beneficial.
