Summary: The Audit & Assurance Assistant Manager at Price Bailey will manage a portfolio of clients, primarily focusing on audit and accounts preparation. Key Responsibilities:
- Managing a portfolio of clients requiring audit (70%) and accounts preparation work (30%) with a total fee income of approximately £300K.
- Reviewing completed audit files and presenting them to the partner for final review.
- Supervising and developing junior staff.
- Taking responsibility for portfolio WIP, billing, and debtor control.
- Assisting senior managers in planning, controlling, and reviewing larger, more complex assignments.
- Developing commercial awareness through fee development and cross-selling activities.
Key Skills:
- A professional accounting qualification – ACA, ICAS, CA or ACCA (minimum criteria).
- Ability to project manage multiple audit engagements and delegate work effectively (minimum criteria).
- Knowledge of UK GAAP / FRS 102 and IFRS.
- Client-facing experience.
- Commercially focused and able to spot new business opportunities.
- Experience of audit software (Caseware) and Microsoft packages.
