We're looking for a Audit and Assurance Technical Manager to join our team in London on a 9 month full time contract This role offers a salary of £84,000 per annum with a hybrid working pattern. The Audit and Assurance Technical Manager will support ICAEW members with timely and practical support on audit and assurance issues, through the creation and dissemination of guidance and commentary. Shaping ICAEW policy and champion ICAEW's reputation and influence in audit and assurance matters, particularly in relation to audit quality, UK audit reform, sustainability assurance, and proposals for the improvement of UK and international auditing and assurance standards and practice.
What you will be doing:
- Engage directly with key stakeholders within and outside the profession on key policy issues and challenges in audit and assurance.
- Create and curate high quality implementation support and guidance for ICAEW members on auditing and assurance standards and other related areas, including written content and webinars, podcasts and putting together events.
- Raising awareness and communicating key developments to members through writing articles for ICAEW Insights and other media channels.
- Develop ICAEW technical policy positions on audit and assurance matters, including formulating representations to regulators and standard setters and coordinating outreach with ICAEW members.
- Act as secretary to Audit and Assurance working groups as needed, developing agendas with colleagues, circulating meeting papers in advance of virtual or hybrid meetings, and assisting the chairs of those working groups promote valuable technical and practical discussions.

- Demonstrated interest in emerging issues, including sustainability assurance and artificial intelligence (AI).
