Atlassian Technical Engineer
Whitehall Resources are currently looking for a Atlassian Technical Engineer based in Shropshire on a hybrid basis for an initial 7 -month contract.

Job Spec: The Atlassian Engineer is a technical specialist role, to ensure the configuration, maintenance and optimisation of Atlassian tools to ensure they meet the needs of the organisation and our clients.
The business solutions provided by this role are based on Atlassian, Atlassian Marketplace and supporting technology. This role is for an experienced-level Application Engineer. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate a reasonable degree of coverage of the Atlassian tools with the core capabilities and certifications
Main responsibilities:
- Configure solutions, worked with customers to define workflows, custom fields and reporting via dashboards and add-ons
- The Atlassian Application Engineer must be capable of interfacing with people at all levels in the organisation. The Application Engineer must be aware of their audience and be able to frame their messages appropriately to the target audience
- have a good understanding of a broad range of software development processes and business skills:
- Agile project and programme management
- Team-working methods and principles such as Agile, Scrum and Scaled Agile
- Modern Software Development methods and principles including DevOps, CI/CD
- IT Service Management (ITIL) and its disciplines
Key Skills:
- At min 3-5 Years of experience in Atlassian solution delivery, working on Application Engineering related activities
- Hands on Experience with Jira, Confluence upgrades, migrations and consolidations
- Atlassian Technical migration accreditation and certifications
- Performed technical assessments and heath checks
- Experience and certification in the Administration of Atlassian instances of Jira and Confluence
- Experienced in administration Atlassian products Bitbucket and Bamboo
- Jira Service Management solution configurations. Be able to configure queues, SLAs and automation
- API and Scripting knowledge, Solution delivery between Jira and other applications
- Has used and can configure CI/CD automation tooling for scripting Application upgrades and testing
