Summary: The Lead Engineer for Atlassian will spearhead the integration of Rovo AI with Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence, focusing on strategic migration and deployment planning. This role requires a strong background in the Atlassian ecosystem and AI/ML principles, with an emphasis on data engineering and compliance. The position is hybrid, with potential for remote work for the right candidate, and is expected to convert to a full-time role after six months. Candidates must be convertible without sponsorship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the roadmap of Atlassian & future state to include Rovo AI, integrating it with Jira, Confluence, and third-party tools
- Set standards, governance, access management & automation at security level
- Strategic migration planning & deployment plan
- Design and maintain knowledge graph structures to optimize semantic search, smart answers, and context-aware recommendations.
- Build pipelines and connectors to ingest structured and unstructured data into the Rovo AI platform using REST APIs or Atlassian Forge.
- Develop custom extensions or configurations to surface relevant analytics, usage insights, and team performance metrics.
- Ensure compliance, data governance, and secure access control for Rovo-integrated environments.
- Work with enterprise stakeholders to align Rovo AI capabilities with knowledge management, workflow automation, and reporting needs.
Key Skills:
- Strong experience with Atlassian ecosystem tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, etc.)
- Understanding of AI/ML principles, particularly in enterprise search, semantic context, and knowledge graphs
- Hands-on experience with data engineering, API integrations, and analytics platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Tableau, Power BI)
- Familiarity with Atlassian Forge, GraphQL, or cloud-native development (AWS, Google Cloud Platform)
