Summary: The ATA32 Stress Engineer will join a team focused on addressing recurring issues with Airbus aircraft, specifically the A300, A320, and A330 models. This contract role, lasting until December 2025, requires a minimum of 60% on-site presence in Filton. The engineer will collaborate with the In-Service Engineering Department to identify and resolve landing gear-related problems, ensuring aircraft airworthiness and minimizing downtime.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify top/recurring issues affecting Landing Gear products in-service, including Major In-Service Problems impacting airworthiness.
- Conduct engineering studies with Landing Gear suppliers to determine root causes and propose solutions, including potential equipment redesigns.
- Respond to urgent queries from the In-Service Engineering department to minimize aircraft downtime due to Landing Gear failures.
- Develop engineering solutions and studies to provide material for customer-facing teams, reducing operational interruptions linked to Landing Gear systems.
- Enhance technical skills and knowledge of Landing Gear products to achieve autonomy in tasks.
Key Skills:
- Aviation structural analysis experience.
- Experience in static and fatigue analysis, preferably related to landing gear.
- Hydro mechanical experience is preferred.
- Experience with wheels and brakes is desirable.
