Summary: The role of Siemens D11 Authorised Technician involves performing advanced endoscopic inspections of wind turbine main bearings to identify potential issues and prevent costly failures. The technician will lead high-precision inspections and generate detailed reports based on their findings. This position is based offshore in the North Sea and operates on a 14 days on / 14 days off schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct internal visual inspections of main bearings using high-definition industrial endoscopes to identify cracks, pitting, mechanical scars, or corrosion.
- Generate detailed inspection reports, including high-quality imagery and diagnostic recommendations, and log all findings.
- Carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems within the turbine.
Key Skills:
- Level 3 electrical or mechanical qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, HNC, or equivalent).
- Must hold Siemens Level 4 or Siemens Gamesa Technical Training (SGTT) certification.
- Successful completion of the Main Bearing Endoscopy (D11) training module and subsequent supervised sign-off.
- Valid GWO, basic safety training, offshore medical clearance, and a Chester Step Test certificate.

Our client seeks Siemens D11 Authorised Technicians for endoscopy main bearing duties. You will be a specialised technical lead responsible for the high-precision internal inspection of wind turbine main bearings. The campaign begins in early March and is North Sea based.
Job Purpose
To perform advanced endoscopic inspections of Siemens D11-platform main bearings, identifying early signs of wear, contamination, or mechanical failure to prevent unplanned shutdowns and high-cost catastrophic damage.
