Description & Requirements
On behalf of BIST, we are looking for an Assurance Lead (Inside IR35) for a 6 month hybrid contract based in any of the following hubs: London, Birmingham, Manchester, Cardiff, Belfast, Darlington or Edinburgh.
As an Assurance Lead, your main responsibilities will be to:
Work with the G7 and project teams to coordinate assurance activity, meetings, reviews and follow-up actions.
Gather, organise and summarise information to help the team understand project status, requirements and next steps.
Use established guidance, templates and processes to support project teams and keep assurance activity moving.
Maintain accurate records, plans, trackers, documents and management information, including routine updates for governance forums.
Build constructive relationships across the portfolio, communicating the purpose of assurance clearly and escalating issues where needed.
Coordinate contributions from colleagues and subject matter experts, monitoring actions, dependencies and deadlines.
PLEASE NOTE: SC Clearance is an essential requirement for this role, as a minimum you must be willing & eligible to undergo checks. Please note, due to the exceptional requirements of this position (short-term nature of this role and speed at which we require a postholder in situ) preference may be given to candidates who meet all of the essential criteria and hold active security clearance.
Essential:

Strong organisation and prioritisation skills, with the ability to maintain momentum across several tasks.
Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to summarise information for different audiences.
Confidence in building relationships, coordinating input and constructively following up actions.
A proactive, adaptable approach, with sound judgement about when to act independently and when to seek advice.
Working knowledge of the NISTA Gateway process, with the ability to support gateway reviews, coordinate submissions, maintain assurance documentation and monitor resulting actions.
