Summary: We are seeking a skilled individual to join our peptide chemistry team, specializing in automated peptide synthesis and purification. The role involves collaboration with medicinal chemists, automation specialists, and protein biochemists to enhance peptide design and optimization through rapid iterations. The ideal candidate must be highly motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working autonomously with various experimental techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Join the peptide chemistry team focusing on automated peptide synthesis and purification.
  • Collaborate with medicinal chemists, automation specialists, and protein biochemists on research and drug development projects.
  • Explore structure-activity relationships and accelerate peptide design and optimization.
  • Utilize a variety of experimental techniques in the design-make-test cycle.
  • Work onsite 5 days per week.

Key Skills:

  • BS/MS in organic chemistry, peptide chemistry, or related discipline.
  • Working experience in biopharma/biotech sectors is preferred.
  • Strong expertise in automated peptide synthesis.
  • Proficient in peptide purification techniques, including HPLC/flash chromatography/SPE.
  • Experience with peptide design, including SAR studies and scaffold optimization.
  • Accountable, meticulous with attention to detail, and able to multitask.
  • Strong teamwork and proactive communication skills.
  • Experience with organic synthesis, including transition metal catalysis and synthesis of non-canonical amino acids is a plus.
  • Experience with protein-peptide interaction characterization is highly preferred.
  • Experience with automation is highly desired.
