Department of Management Associate Professor in Management Salary is competitive with Departments at our peer institutions worldwide and not less than £80,927 pa inclusive, and the salary scale can be found on the LSE website In addition, this post will attract a significant market salary supplement which reflects current market conditions.

The Department of Management at LSE seeks to hire an outstanding Associate Professor belonging to a newly-established Governance, Environment, and Technology group within the Department. The Department aims to make this group a world-leading centre of teaching and research in political economy, that develops governance and organisational solutions to pressing contemporary environmental and technological challenges. Faculty in the group use approaches from economics, political economy, and related disciplines to study organisational and institutional responses to these challenges, aimed at generating insights for management practice. The group welcomes research using rigorous empirical, quasi-experimental, and quantitative methods to study real-world settings.

The post holder will contribute to the intellectual life of the group and School by publishing outstanding research, engaging in high quality teaching in Management and related fields, and participating in group, School and Department activities. The Department of Management plays a central role in the LSE, a global, single-faculty, social science university located in the heart of London. Faculty members engage in research and scholarly activities across LSE.

Successful applicants will have a PhD in economics, a closely related social science discipline, or a relevant interdisciplinary field. Candidates should demonstrate a proven record of outstanding research, evidenced by multiple high-quality publications, at least two of which must be world leading, and a track record of publishing in leading journals relevant to Management, economics, or related disciplines, and a well-developed strategy for sustained high-quality research resulting in world-leading publications. Candidates should demonstrate a track record of, or strong potential for, attracting competitive external research funding. Candidates should also demonstrate the ability to teach Management students at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in relevant areas including economics and quantitative methods.
