Associate Lecturers – Business Management/Finance and Accounting/Digital Marketing Part Time (flexible hours) – Fixed Term Contract to 31 December 2026 with possibility for extension – Nottingham campus

We are looking for Associate Lecturers in Business Management, Finance and Accounting, and Digital Marketing with experience of teaching their subject at degree level and who hold a higher qualification or professional experience in their field. We are seeking staff for both regular part-time teaching and for one-off cover opportunities at our thriving Nottingham campus. We teach over seven days and you should be able to work across a good spread of days, preferably including weekends. You should be able to teach and support students by adopting a learner-centred approach and be committed to contributing towards delivery of a first-class student experience. You should be a team-player and contribute to the wider work of the campus, and support building an inclusive university community where people can be themselves.

Job Purpose: Teach and support students by adopting a learner-centred approach and being committed to contributing towards delivery of a first-class student experience. Be a team-player and contribute to the wider work of the campus. Practice an inclusive approach and support building an inclusive university community where people can be themselves.

Main Duties & Responsibilities of the role:

  • With support, design and deliver high quality, innovative and challenging learning experiences, using current theory and practice together in lively debate.
  • With support, undertake associated activities in connection with the courses taught including, personal tutoring, recruitment, assessment, review and evaluation.
  • Contribute to the student experience – demonstrating an awareness of the need for ‘customer focus’ in respect of resolving issues.
  • Contribute to the promotional work of the department.
  • Support students in supervising placements, learning in practice, internships and work-related activities.
  • Deliver pastoral care and project supervision of students.
  • With support, plan and deliver the curriculum using appropriate media, including the use of IT.
  • Provide effective feedback, support and guidance to students, which promotes improvement of performance.
  • Engage in professional development activities (e.g. CPD, attendance at conferences) relating to teaching, learning and assessment.
  • Maintain and foster the high reputation of the University
  • Comply with relevant legislative and other requirements (e.g., the Data Protection Act 2018 and GDPR; Health and Safety; UKVI; and Equality and Diversity) in all working practices
