MPI requires an Associate HR Business Partner, for our client based in Birmingham

Title: Associate HRBP

Rate: £23.00 - £25.00 per hour PAYE

Location: Birmingham

Department: People Services

Duration: ASAP until 27th March 2026

Hybrid: Weds and Thurs in the office

Working Hours: 35 hours per week

Interview process: 2 stage panel interviews

Key responsibilities:

  • To act as an internal consultant, contracting on key activity required by the Division.
  • Effective growth and management of a key relationships within the business and/or the wider HR Team to enable swift and accurate response to requests for support.
  • To proactively highlight or support on complex queries, and requests received by the divisional team, ensuring they are either resolved or managed appropriately.
  • To understand what is important to the Division and their Business Leaders, through being visible and present within both the HR, and wider business environment.
  • Keep a focus on continuous improvement opportunities, and take accountability for developing options to resolve; or set out proposals and options to improve.
  • Use internal agreed escalation paths to proactively deal with queries from the divisions.
  • To ensure collaboration across the Divisional team and/or People Services to promote a culture of continuous improvement, and share/learn from each other.
  • For roles embedded in People Services, responsible for raising profile of People Services, helping the business to understand routes into HR by being an advocate for our digital and self-service approach.
  • Accountable for the delivery of quality and timely work, which meets or exceeds the businesses expectations.
  • To provide internal support within the wider HR and/or People Services team for activities linked to the wider BBC HR agenda.
  • To foster a culture of service excellence, role-modelling this and coaching team to deliver customer focus and management of expectations.
  • Use data and analytics to measure the effectiveness people solutions and understand the landscape for further improvement.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across HR team, facilitating two-way communication between the business, translating business requirements and needs back into the HR and/or People Services function.
  • Actively look to embed knowledge transfer both within the division being supported, the divisional support team or the wider HR team.
  • Be an ambassador for the function and represen tHR internally and externally (as appropriate).
