Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare comprehensive regulatory balance sheet-based external reports in accordance with European requirements and internal policies.
  • Draft detailed commentary and analysis to support financial disclosures, ensuring clarity and accuracy for senior management review.
  • Oversee the end-to-end production process for quarterly reporting cycles, ensuring timely delivery against strict deadlines.
  • Identify and troubleshoot data issues during production cycles by communicating effectively with relevant stakeholders and escalating concerns when necessary.
  • Respond promptly to review questions raised on produced disclosures, providing clear explanations and supporting documentation as required.
  • Present disclosures and analytical findings to members of Finance Senior Management, facilitating informed decision-making across the business.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of evolving disclosure requirements and internal policies to ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory frameworks.
  • Maintain up-to-date written procedures documents, ensuring robust controls are documented and adhered to throughout all reporting activities.
  • Contribute actively to projects focused on implementing new regulatory requirements or improving production processes through digital tooling initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues across Product Control, Finance Technology, Legal Entity Control, Accounting Policy Group, and other key teams.

Key Skills:

  • CA/ACA/ACCA qualification (or equivalent)
  • Demonstrated experience in financial or regulatory reporting within a large-scale organisation or financial services environment
  • Proven ability to work with large datasets using advanced Microsoft Excel skills; proficiency in Word is also important for documentation purposes
  • Familiarity with digital tooling such as Alteryx or PowerBI would be advantageous for process improvement initiatives
  • A solid understanding of IFRS accounting standards and European regulatory frameworks is preferred
  • Experience in balance sheet controller reporting or similar roles adds significant value to your application
