Summary: The Assistant Site Manager role in Edinburgh involves supporting the Site Manager on a large housing project, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, and maintaining effective communication with clients and subcontractors. The candidate will be responsible for supervising site activities and managing logistics while adhering to KPIs. This is a temporary, full-time position with an immediate start until December 2025.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Site Manager with the daily supervision and coordination of site activities.
  • Ensure work is carried out safely, on time, and to the required standards.
  • Monitor subcontractor performance and manage site logistics.
  • Conduct regular quality inspections and ensure compliance with building regulations.
  • Assist in managing materials deliveries and site housekeeping.
  • Maintain accurate site records including daily diaries, progress reports, and health and safety documentation.
  • Support effective communication between trades, suppliers, site teams, and senior management.
  • Be client facing in meetings.

Key Skills:

  • Previous experience as an Assistant Site Manager or Site Supervisor in residential construction.
  • Strong knowledge of housebuilding methods, NHBC standards, and H and S regulations.
  • Valid SMSTS or SSSTS, First Aid, and CSCS certification.
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • A proactive, team-oriented attitude with strong communication skills.

Randstad are looking for an experienced Assistant Site Manager to work on a large housing site in Edinburgh. The right candidate must be able to support the Site Manager and have a good level of experience with keeping with KPIs on site, health and safety and good at client facing too. Must have experience on new build housing and flats.
