Summary: The Assistant Repairs Delivery Manager will oversee the daily operations of the Housing Maintenance team, ensuring that repairs and improvement works are planned and executed efficiently. This role involves supervising technical officers, managing subcontractors, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. The position is based in Barrhead, East Renfrewshire, on an initial 12-week contract and is classified as inside IR35.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day supervision of Technical Officers and the admin team.
  • Manage the storemen and the organisation's store.
  • Plan, monitor, and progress all reported repairs and planned improvement works.
  • Ensure effective deployment of trade staff and monitor productivity.
  • Implement absence management policies and support disciplinary procedures.
  • Develop service systems and review procedures for performance management.
  • Manage subcontractors in compliance with procurement regulations.
  • Monitor and enforce procedures related to the Housing Maintenance Team.
  • Provide performance reports to the Repairs Delivery and Property & Strategy Manager.
  • Ensure training and supervision for Housing Maintenance Team employees.
  • Support transformation and change programmes within the service.
  • Implement health and safety policies and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Manage resources effectively and uphold policies and legislation.
  • Develop and implement a personal development plan.
  • Deputise for the Repairs Delivery Manager as required.
  • Handle complaints and enquiries, ensuring timely responses.
  • Gather information for insurance claims and ensure compliance with electrical regulations.
  • Monitor and record electrical installation conditions and arrange inspections.
