Summary: TFL is seeking an Assistant Property Accountant to provide financial and process control support within their Rent Control function. The role involves collaboration with the finance team and budget holders to ensure accurate financial information and controls. Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a key point of contact for the Rent Control team, supporting financial deliverables and procedures.
  • Provide support for key management reporting and other financial information used by business areas.
  • Undertake the collection, collation, and challenge of financial and other forecasting information.
  • Support periodic and year-end processes, ensuring timelines are met and finance reporting is accurate.
  • Maintain key relationships with the Business Services Function (BSF) team.
  • Provide an accounting service, maintaining management & financial transactions on SAP and supporting systems.

Key Skills:

  • Experience working with Horizon.
  • Extensive experience in managing delivery of key management accounting services.
  • Proficiency in integrated ERP accounting platforms, particularly SAP.
  • Demonstrable experience of driving value through effective analysis of financial information.
  • Experience of designing and implementing financial controls.
  • Strong numerical skills and understanding of finance and accounting principles.
  • Ability to build relationships at management level and work collaboratively across teams.
  • Working knowledge of management and financial accounting methodologies.
  • Experience within property is a must.

Role: Assistant Property Accountant Location: London, Victoria Station House SW1E Job Type: Full-time - Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm Working mode: Hybrid 50% office based Salary: PAYE 188.16 per day or UMBRELLA 244.99 per day We are seeking an Assistant Property Accountant to provide comprehensive financial and process control support within our Rent Control function. This role is crucial for working with the wider finance team, decision-makers, and budget holders to ensure robust financial information and controls are in place to support effective decision-making. Day-to-day of the role: - Act as a key point of contact for the Rent Control team, supporting financial deliverables and procedures, and ensuring best practices and common standards are applied. - Provide support for key management reporting and other financial information used by business areas to support decision making and achieve business objectives. - Undertake the collection, collation, and challenge of financial and other forecasting information to support the Property Accountant in the forecasting, planning, and budgeting processes. - Support periodic and year-end processes, ensuring timelines are met, journaling rules are adhered to, and finance reporting is accurate and reliable - .Maintain key relationships with the Business Services Function (BSF) team, ensuring compliance with master data standards and various financial initiatives. - Provide an accounting service, maintaining management & financial transactions on SAP and supporting systems, and implementing policies and procedures for a wide-ranging set of activities.
