Summary: The Assistant Programme Manager will collaborate with Project Coordinators and Community Liaison Officers to ensure the smooth execution of mains renewal activities. This role involves managing programme documentation, compliance, and resource planning while providing support to onsite construction teams. The position requires effective communication and strong influencing skills to coordinate with various stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. The contract is initially for 3-6 months and allows for hybrid working arrangements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own programme management of the end-to-end scheme, including planning resources, equipment, and forecasting costs.
  • Write gated papers for assigned schemes as they progress through the programme.
  • Plan, order, and coordinate all plant, equipment, materials, and fittings for the scheme.
  • Support the Network Construction Manager in ensuring timely arrival of materials and equipment.
  • Keep SAP and relevant systems updated with delivery and cost information.
  • Provide support to onsite construction teams for emergency equipment/plant/tools as needed.
  • Ensure all documentation, including HSE driven CDM and legal documents, are up to date.
  • Coordinate proactive and reactive customer communications with Community Liaison Officers.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to manage end-to-end cost design and delivery at scheme level.
  • Create cost lines and reforecast spending against schemes, managing scope creep.
  • Complete all capitalisation and EUT processes, ensuring all as-laid data is captured.
  • Plan and coordinate at least 2 schemes per year.
