Assistant Procurement Manager

Key requirements for the position include:

Managing multiple procurement projects simultaneously across a range of category areas.

Leading and delivering end-to-end procurement exercises in accordance with public sector procurement legislation and best practice.

Category management experience, including sourcing strategy development, supplier management and stakeholder engagement.

Experience of contract implementation, negotiation, risk management and delivering procurement outcomes within complex organisations.

MCIPS qualified, or able to demonstrate equivalent professional procurement experience.

Ability to engage credibly with senior stakeholders and manage a varied workload with minimal supervision.

Strong working knowledge of PCR 2015 and the Procurement Act, with proven experience of delivering compliant procurement activity in line with governance and regulatory requirements.

Experience of independently leading procurement projects and providing commercial advice to stakeholders.

Essential local government procurement experience.
