Summary: This role is for an Assistant Practitioner within the Crisis & Unscheduled Care team at Royal Alexandra Hospital, focusing on providing support for children and young people experiencing mental health crises. The position is a secondment for 12 months and requires compassionate individuals who can engage effectively with young people and their families. The role involves working alongside the CAMHS Crisis and Unscheduled Care Service and includes evening and weekend shifts. Knowledge of Welsh is desirable, but not mandatory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the delivery of an ‘Alternative to Admission’ community hub pilot for children and young people.
- Engage with young people and their families during times of crisis.
- Contribute to the ongoing development and innovation within the service.
- Participate in regular supervision and training for personal and professional development.
- Work on a rota basis, including evenings and weekends.
- Travel to various locations within the catchment area to carry out duties.
