Summary: The Assistant Management Accountant at Lear will report to the Assistant Financial Controller and will be responsible for preparing monthly engineering management accounts, supporting various financial processes, and assisting with Tooling, VAT, and Capex. The role requires strong IT skills, particularly in Excel, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. The position is integral to ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with internal controls. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts
- Reconcile and report Tooling balances and project statuses
- Raise AR’s in relation to Tooling
- Reconcile and report Capex PAR approvals and forecasting for Capex
- Conduct foreign VAT reconciliation and assist VAT team with VAT Claims
- Analyze and allocate contract and permanent labour
- Prepare journals and conduct balance sheet reconciliations
- Support the Tech Centre team as required
- Participate in SOX aspects (self-audit, ICQ and narratives)
Key Skills:
- Excellent IT skills, especially in Excel
- Ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple tasks
- Knowledge and experience with ERP systems
- Internal control/audit experience
- Automotive/Engineering experience (advantageous)
- BPCS experience (advantageous)
- SOX experience (advantageous)
- Good working knowledge of IBM iSeries (AS400) and AS400Query
- Part Qualified CIMA / ACCA or equivalent

Position Overview Reporting directly to the Assistant Financial Controller, our future Assistant Management Accountant will be involved in the preparation of monthly engineering management accounts and to provide support to the Assistant Financial Controller. And, To assist with Tooling, VAT and Capex as required alongside month end processes.
Main Missions
- Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts
- Reconciling and reporting of Tooling balances and project statuses
