Summary: The Assistant Management Accountant role involves maintaining the fixed asset register and overseeing the SAP fixed assets module. Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance of the fixed asset register and SAP fixed assets module.

  • Review actual costs against budget/forecasts and provide accurate budget/forecasts.
  • Support management accounts period end processes and production of balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Support Fleet department at period end and oversee production of Fleet P&L.
  • Indirect budget responsibility for Capital Expenditure, Depreciation, and Fleet.
  • Support and deliver period, quarterly, and year-end financial reports.
  • Support Central Services and Fleet departments in completing period end tasks.
  • Support the finance department in the transition to the new D365 system.

Purpose & Accountabilities:

  • The main responsibilities within the role consist of the maintenance of the fixed asset register and the SAP fixed assets module. As part of the role the person would oversee all aspects of Capital Expenditure, liaise and provide support to the Central Services capital team as required. Review actual costs against budget/forecasts and provide accurate budget/forecasts when required. Support management accounts period end processes and the production of balance sheet reconciliations to the required deadlines. Support Fleet department at period end and oversee production of Fleet P&L and complete balance sheet reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Budget Responsibility: Indirect budget responsibility for the Capital Expenditure, Depreciation and Fleet including production of the annual budget and re-forecast information for these areas.
  • Financial Reporting: Support and deliver period, quarterly and year-end reports ensuring all reports are sourced directly from or reconcile to the finance system.
  • Business Partnering: Support the Central Services and Fleet departments in the completion of all period end tasks within required deadlines.
  • Training: Support the finance department in the transition to the new D365 system
