Summary: The Assistant Finance Manager - Reporting role is a 12-month fixed-term contract that involves providing high-quality financial support to the Reporting Finance Manager and the wider business. The position focuses on monthly reporting, forecasting, and budgeting, while fostering relationships with various stakeholders to ensure accurate financial data management. The role also emphasizes continuous improvement within the finance function and adherence to internal controls. Candidates should be studying towards an accounting qualification and possess strong analytical and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce monthly MI within agreed timescales set out by the business / Finance Manager.
- Ensure accurate SOX compliant financial data is fed into the month end close process and reported to the wider business.
- Assist the Finance Manager in the preparation and production of budget and forecasting models.
- Build excellent relationships with the FP&A team and ensure timely submissions of weekly forecasts, budgets and outlooks for the National Businesses portfolio.
- Build a close relationship with Engineering/Finance Managers to enable a smooth capital investment process.
- Provide accurate GRN forecasting, loading of projects to the Capex Portal, review of capital closure forms and leading the quarterly SOx capital WIP reviews.
- Lead the lease process for National Businesses, ensuring accurate P&L and Balance Sheet reporting and reconciliations to the lease register.
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and associated analysis.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure consistent and correct adherence to product line / TBP / internal and external, policies and procedures.
- Assist the Finance function in proactively improving internal controls within the business.
- Develop positive and supportive relationships with key stakeholders including site staff, finance team, and internal/external auditors.
- Complete ad-hoc financial reporting and analysis according to business requirements.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the finance function.
- Carry out any other duties as may reasonably be requested by the Finance Manager or team.
Key Skills:
- Studying towards or willingness to study towards an accounting qualification.
- Experience of working within a finance team is desirable.
- A proven track record in handling data and production of reports.
- Experience of working to strict deadlines.
- Experience of working with a variety of stakeholders.
- Demonstrable Excel skills.
- Self-driven and ambitious.

About The Role
We're currently looking for an ambitious and enthusiastic Assistant Finance Manager - Reporting , to join us on a Fixed Term Contract basis for 12 months (Hybrid working) Reporting directly to the Reporting Finance Manager, this role will provide high quality support to the role and the wider business. To be successful in this role you'll need:
