Role Overview The purpose of the Assistant engineering controller role is to take ownership of a Tech Centre entity, including responsibility for month end financial closure and financial forecasting/reporting. Work alongside the Engineering Controller to support the overall UK Tech Centre, including control of Engineering & Tooling Budgets. Provide effective information to the local Engineering Managers & Program Managers, UK Divisional Finance team, European Corporate Finance teams This job will be based in Coventry, UK
Main Responsibilities As part of the UK Finance team, prepare monthly management accounts Submit local accounts within the Corporate Systems, accurately and within deadlines given - Divisional / Corporate reporting via systems HFM / Hyperion. Management of Engineering Budgets - reporting monthly results, preparing forecasts/budgets, working closely with the Engineering Director to give review and feedback on financial data Management of Tooling budgets – Control of Budgets, Monthly tooling tracking, Reviews with Program Managers, Reporting out Profitability status to Management Team Engineering Program Status reports - Produce reports incorporating historic and forecast data to give overall profitability of development projects. Monthly Balance Sheet Account Reconciliations Duties Quarterly Attest duties - preparation of Corporate Schedules, submitted to Divisional Finance. Assisting with self-audit of Sarbanes-Oxley. Other ad-hoc duties as required.
