Summary: The Assistant Director for Community Safety, Resilience & CCTV will provide strategic leadership and management for the Community Safety Service within the Council in Greater London. This role involves significant contributions to the Environment Division's operational responsibilities and ensuring safety standards for local football clubs. The position requires collaboration with senior stakeholders to align the Council's objectives with the Place Department's business plan. The role is offered on a contract basis with hybrid working arrangements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership and management for the Community Safety Service.
  • Chair the Safety Advisory Groups for the borough's football clubs to ensure compliance with safety requirements.
  • Translate the Council's priorities into the Place Department's Overall Business Plan.
  • Provide expert advice to senior management and engage with stakeholders to deliver the Council's strategic vision.

Key Skills:

  • Significant experience in a similar role within a Local Authority context.
  • Understanding of local government strategy, legislation, and finance.
  • Experience in partnership working with senior stakeholders and politicians.
  • Ability to manage resources effectively, especially in crisis situations.

Salary (Rate): 700.00
