Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of DPO-based projects, including planning, monitoring, control, reporting, and communication to ensure successful implementations within quality, time, and budget constraints.
- Engage with key stakeholders to ensure tasks are understood, managed, and completed within the agreed timescale, and produce regular progress reports for stakeholders and the Executive Board.
- Assist the DPO in implementing and maintaining a data governance strategy, ensuring privacy risks are managed, resolved, and reviewed, and track, monitor, and report on Data Protection Impact Assessments and auditing activities.
- Support the DPO in responding to Supplier Due Diligence requests and assist in developing customer and employee communications, training, and guidance to demonstrate compliance with data privacy laws.
- Ensure the rights of individuals are managed and monitored according to company policies, maintain records of processing, manage the terminations process for offboarding customers, and assist with data breach management.
- Manage the incident log, chase updates and closure actions, liaise with the Information Security Manager to review incidents, and support the DPO in responding to customer contract queries.
Key Skills:
- Experience in data protection, compliance, or a related role in a commercial or public sector setting.
- Strong understanding of data protection regulations, including UK & EU GDPR.
- Relevant certifications (CISM, CISSP, CISMP) ISEB Practitioner Certificate in Data Protection Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe (CIPP/E).

Your Team The Data Protection Office are a small team of dedicated professionals who deal with every aspect of data protection, from impact assessments to retention guidance and everything in between. You will work closely with our Cyber Security, Business Assurance, Legal and IT Teams and you will provide support to every area of the business.
