Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the wider finance and operations teams across several core areas of the business including purchase ledger and invoice processing.
  • Provide AP and AR support.
  • Conduct supplier reconciliations.
  • Manage inventory allocation and stock reporting.
  • Match inventory costs and sales activity.
  • Track consignment stock.
  • Assist with finance administration and reporting.
  • Support month-end activity.
  • Help improve finance workflows and processes.
  • Support operational finance across the wider business.
  • Assist with ERP and systems-related improvement work where needed.

Key Skills:

  • Strong transactional finance experience.
  • Previous Assistant Accountant or operational finance experience.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced SME environments.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Good Excel skills.

Assistant Accountant London | Hybrid | 6 Month Contract | £200 - £300 Day Rate | Fast Growing Healthcare Business

This business is at that awkward but exciting stage of growth where complexity has increased quickly, but the finance processes and systems are still catching up. Which means they need someone who can come in, get stuck in quickly and help steady the ship operationally. There’s a lot happening across inventory allocation, invoice processing, AP/AR workflows, consignment stock reporting and manual matching work. The finance team needs an experienced pair of hands who is comfortable operating in busy SME environments and helping improve day-to-day finance operations. This isn’t a polished corporate environment with huge teams and layers of process. It’s a growing business where people work collaboratively, solve problems quickly and help wherever needed. The successful person will play a key role supporting transactional accounting, finance administration and reporting across the business while also helping improve workflows and operational processes.

The Role
