  • Maintain the fixed asset register, ensuring assets are recorded, depreciated monthly, and accruals are posted.
  • Support inventory processes by analysing stock data, auditing counts, and reconciling inventory accounts.
  • Handle month-end tasks such as accruals, VAT journal postings, and payroll journal entries.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts including sundry debtors and overhead re allocations.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies for asset approvals and inventory procedures.
  • Assist with lease accounting by calculating interest depreciation for car leases.

Description Duties for the Assistant Accountant:
