Assistant Accountant
Summary: The Assistant Accountant role is a 12-month fixed-term contract within a growing FMCG business, offering an immediate start for a finance professional. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with month-end and year-end finance processes
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations
- Support management reporting and financial analysis
- Maintain accruals and prepayments
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
- Analyse financial data and investigate variances
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as required
- Help improve finance processes and controls
Key Skills:
- Previous experience as an Assistant Accountant or in a similar finance role
- Experience within FMCG, manufacturing, distribution, or another fast-paced environment preferred
- Immediately available or available at short notice
- Strong Excel skills
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
- AAT qualified, studying towards ACCA/CIMA/ACA, or qualified by experience

Assistant Accountant - 12-Month Contract
We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Accountant to join a growing FMCG business on a 12-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional who is immediately available and looking to gain experience within a fast-paced, dynamic commercial environment.
Working closely with the Finance Manager, you will support the month-end process, financial reporting, reconciliations, and day-to-day finance operations. The ideal candidate will have previous experience within an FMCG or high-volume environment and be confident managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
