Assistant Accountant

Summary: Halliday Marx is seeking an Interim Assistant Accountant for a 3-month assignment with a prominent media organization. The role involves overseeing month-end reporting, preparing journals, and supporting accounts payable and receivable functions. The position offers a hybrid working arrangement, requiring three days in the office and two days from home. Immediate availability is preferred for candidates with hands-on SAP experience and a strong understanding of financial processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the actuals close and deliver accurate, timely month-end reporting
• Prepare and post month-end journals
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations
• Support both accounts payable and receivable functions
• Produce management reports and financial analysis
• Assist the Finance Manager with ad-hoc duties and insight-driven tasks

Key Skills:

• Hands-on SAP experience
• Strong understanding of accruals, prepayments, and journal postings
• Proven experience managing the full month-end cycle
• Available immediately or within a maximum of one week

Salary (Rate): £40,000.00 yearly
