Summary: The Assistant Accountant role is a 6-month fixed-term contract within an international marketing consultancy's Finance team, focusing on Accounts Payable and Management Accounts. The position requires a proactive individual with over two years of experience in processing multi-currency invoices and managing supplier payments. The role is based in London but also involves collaboration with offices in New York and Singapore. The successful candidate will support the Finance team in achieving their financial objectives through various accounting tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Processing supplier invoices and employee expenses in Paprika
• Setting up payments for approval
• Ensuring timely payments to suppliers, freelancers, and employees
• Handling queries related to payments
• Processing incentives/donation requests
• Daily cash reporting and posting
• Monitoring aged creditors and maintaining the finance email inbox
• Conducting bank reconciliations for all accounts
• Carrying out month-end tasks accurately and on time
• Posting relevant journals at month-end and year-end
• Assisting the Finance Manager with P&L and Balance Sheet preparation
• Managing company credit cards
• Performing ad-hoc tasks as required

Key Skills:

• Experience with Paprika (preferred but not essential)
• Part qualified or studying towards an accountancy qualification
• Degree in an accounting-related course (preferred but not essential)
