Summary: The Asset and Configuration Management Lead will be responsible for designing and implementing IT asset and configuration management processes within an ITSM framework at a leading IT consultancy. This role involves ensuring software license compliance, configuring CMDB, and training teams on best practices in a dynamic MSP environment. The position is a 6-month contract with potential for extension and requires strong ITIL knowledge and experience in asset management initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and implement Asset & Configuration Management processes and policies.
  • Design and deliver a CMDB model for service mapping and lifecycle tracking.
  • Configure CMDB and asset modules in collaboration with ITSM tooling teams.
  • Establish lifecycle processes for hardware and software asset management.
  • Ensure software license compliance and accurate CMDB data through audits.
  • Create reports and dashboards on asset utilization and configuration data.
  • Train teams on asset and configuration management best practices.

Key Skills:

  • ITIL v4 certification with strong knowledge of ITIL principles.
  • Proven experience leading large-scale Asset & Configuration Management initiatives.
  • Expertise in CMDB, Software Asset Management (SAM), and ServiceNow.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Desirable: ITIL v4 HVIT/CDS/PIC, SAM certification, knowledge of SaaS management, ISO 19770, or cybersecurity principles.

Salary (Rate): £500/day
