Summary: The Assembly Mechanic role based in Bournemouth involves assembling, maintaining, and testing various mechanical and electronic aircraft components in compliance with regulatory standards. Candidates must have relevant experience in mechanical assembly and testing, with specific eligibility requirements including holding a UK or NATO passport. The position offers a contract with defined working hours and varying pay rates based on experience and qualifications. A drug screening is mandatory for successful candidates prior to starting the assignment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret Component Maintenance Manuals, Service Bulletins, and other Technical data required for Repair & Overhaul duties.
  • Perform preliminary inspections including diagnostic tests, disassembly, cleaning, and component inspection.
  • Determine materials required for Overhaul/Repair.
  • Repair/Overhaul and assemble units according to approved technical data.
  • Conduct final tests to determine eligibility for return to service.
  • Prioritize and process units to meet customer due dates.
  • Process units in accordance with the Quality Management System, Repair Station Manual, and MOE.

Key Skills:

  • Previous experience in precision assembly work and testing.
  • Mechanical workshop experience along with some electrical experience.
  • A recognized Engineering Apprenticeship is desirable but not essential.

Salary (Rate): £18.41
