Summary: This role is for an Architectural Technician and Product Development Designer on a contract basis, focusing on the delivery of interior wall and partition system projects in a commercial fit-out environment. The position involves technical design, product development, and project support, requiring a detail-oriented approach and the ability to work independently. The successful candidate will translate architectural intent into manufacturable solutions and support ongoing product development. Key Responsibilities:
- Produce AutoCAD, Revit and SketchUp drawings
- Develop GA’s, sections, fabrication and installation details
- Translate architectural intent into buildable system solutions
- Produce shop drawings for manufacture and installation
- Support development of prefabricated wall and partition systems
- Assist with refinement of system buildability and performance
- Contribute to prototyping, testing and technical documentation
- Support preparation of BOMs and installation information
- Develop and maintain 3D models of wall systems
- Produce coordinated outputs from architectural drawings
- Support system configuration using internal tools
- Review production information for accuracy and completeness
- Work alongside project managers and installation teams
- Support technical coordination and design queries
- Assist in resolving buildability and site issues
- Contribute to smooth delivery of live projects
Key Skills:
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit and SketchUp
- Background in construction, fit-out, architectural technology or product design
- Experience with partitioning or glazing systems preferred
- Strong understanding of detailing and buildability
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Site or manufacturing exposure beneficial
