Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 2nd line support for business-critical applications
  • Troubleshoot and resolve incidents, service requests, and problem tickets
  • Support and maintain Microsoft applications, including M365 services
  • Administer and support SharePoint environments
  • Work with Atlassian tools (Jira and/or Confluence) for incident tracking and knowledge management
  • Collaborate with 1st and 3rd line teams to ensure smooth service delivery
  • Contribute to documentation, process improvements, and knowledge sharing

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience in a 2nd line application support role
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft stack (e.g. Office 365, SharePoint)
  • Experience using Jira and/or Confluence
  • Excellent troubleshooting and stakeholder communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a structured, secure environment

Salary (Rate): £375 daily

We're supporting a central government organisation in the search for an experienced Application Support Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. This is a great opportunity to work within a secure, high-impact environment, providing 2nd line support across a range of critical business applications. You'll play a key role in ensuring the stability, performance, and continuous improvement of services, working closely with users, technical teams, and suppliers to resolve issues efficiently and enhance user experience.

Key Responsibilities:
