Summary: The Approved Premises Residential Worker role at Service Care Solutions involves providing 24-hour coverage and support within an Approved Premises in Oxford. The position requires collaboration with colleagues and various agencies to ensure the safety and rehabilitation of residents on probation. Responsibilities include monitoring, conducting inspections, and engaging with residents to promote adherence to risk management plans. Immediate starts are available, subject to security clearance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a positive working environment.
- Communicate key risk issues to colleagues and partner agencies.
- Conduct regular inspections of the premises and monitor CCTV equipment.
- Engage with residents to ensure adherence to risk management plans.
- Monitor high-risk residents and manage aggressive behavior.
- Observe and report changes related to risk and re-offending.
- Participate in activities supporting residents' sentence plan objectives.
- Ensure the premises are securely locked during curfew periods.
- Provide accurate information and risk assessments to Offender Managers.
- Uphold a safe working environment by adhering to Health and Safety legislation.
- Conduct Health and Safety checks and organize purposeful activities.
- Administer medication and conduct audits of medication sheets.
- Conduct drug and alcohol tests as per risk management plans.
- Provide First Aid for resident injuries or self-harm incidents.
- Maintain records and files for the Approved Premises.
Key Skills:
- Experience in a residential or support role within the Criminal Justice System.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage high-risk individuals and handle aggressive behavior.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and procedures.
- Experience in conducting risk assessments and monitoring compliance.
- First Aid certification.
- Ability to engage residents positively and support their rehabilitation.
- Organizational skills for maintaining records and conducting audits.
