Summary: As a Business Administrator Apprentice, you will support the Social Care team in North Locality by providing comprehensive administrative services while ensuring compliance with statutory requirements. Your role will involve effective communication, minute-taking, data analysis, and budget monitoring, all aimed at safeguarding vulnerable families in the community. This apprenticeship offers hands-on experience alongside experienced staff and includes a structured learning component at SGS College. You will be expected to demonstrate a commitment to learning and developing your skills throughout the 18-month program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a main point of contact for the service area, handling enquiries and information requests.
- Provide administrative support to managers, ensuring efficient work and effective implementation of procedures.
- Take minutes for key meetings and assist in drafting documents for reports.
- Collate and maintain records, analyze information, and ensure accurate data retrieval from computerized systems.
- Communicate specific concerns and issues accurately and promptly.
- Record and assist in monitoring budgets and financial information/resources.
Key Skills:
- Minimum of GCSE A*-C (or grade 4-9) or equivalent qualification in English and Maths.
- Good IT skills in Microsoft Office packages (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Excellent communication skills, with confidence in handling various contact channels.
- Drive and willingness to learn new things and commitment to gaining qualifications.
- Basic experience of financial procedures (e.g., petty cash, invoicing).
