Key Responsibilities:

• Work as part of the Operating Department Team while undertaking the apprenticeship.
• Engage in clinical practice and academic study to achieve a BSc (Hons) in Operating Department Practice.
• Participate in tutorials, interactive skills sessions, and scenarios during annual residential weeks at the University of Derby.
• Develop skills and knowledge to work effectively in a dynamic healthcare environment.
• Complete self-study sessions outside of working hours to fulfill academic requirements.

Key Skills:

• Minimum of 6 months experience in a perioperative/interventional setting as a B3 HCA.
• 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades A-C or 4-9, including Mathematics and English.
• 112 UCAS points or Level 3 qualification.
• Proficient in spoken English with a minimum IELTS score of 7.0 (if applicable).
