SR2 is working with a cutting-edge simulation and decision intelligence company, to help them scale their modelling capability . We’re looking for an Applied Scientist/Data Scientist to join their multidisciplinary team building predictive models of cities — from population behaviour and infrastructure impact to transport, economy, and terrain . This role sits at the intersection of scientific modelling, geospatial data, and simulation tooling. You’ll be responsible for designing, validating, and implementing models that help government clients explore complex “what if” scenarios at national scale.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research, design, and implement models for human behaviour, social systems, and population dynamics
  • Translate customer requirements into scientifically robust simulations and decision tools
  • Build and deliver production-grade models and notebooks in Python
  • Evaluate and integrate third-party data sources into synthetic environments
