Summary: The Applications Support Manager role involves providing second and third-line support within an ITIL framework, managing incidents, and ensuring effective resolution of application issues. The position requires collaboration with internal teams and suppliers while assessing and improving support processes. The manager will also monitor system performance and contribute to capacity planning and application development. This role is based in Newcastle with a requirement for two days on-site work each week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide second and third-line support for enterprise applications.
  • Manage, escalate, and resolve incidents within the team and with suppliers.
  • Assess and establish best practices for the support process.
  • Monitor and maintain data processing and data feeds between systems.
  • Report on team and system performance for capacity planning and application development.

Key Skills:

  • Experience in managing, supporting, and maintaining enterprise applications.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven track record in people and team management, particularly with 2nd and 3rd line support.
  • Ability to quickly learn and support current and new systems.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.

Salary (Rate): £600
