Application Tester - QA

Key Responsibilities

• Test applications primarily developed using MS .NET/C#, backed by SQL Server or Oracle databases.
• Understand business requirements and create detailed test plans and test cases.
• Perform functional and non-functional testing.
• Carry out regression, defect, emergency change and production testing.
• Perform API testing, data validation and batch process testing to ensure end-to-end system integrity.
• Manage defects and testing activities using Azure DevOps, Xray and JIRA.
• Support UAT and work closely with business users.
• Collaborate with Production Support, Release Management and Change teams to ensure robust QA delivery.
• Ensure suitable testing environments and test data are available.
• Run regression testing for weekly/monthly releases and hotfixes.
• Design and maintain test results dashboards, providing visibility of test progress and key quality metrics to stakeholders.

What We're Looking For

• Strong commercial experience in application/software testing.
• Experience with SQL Server and/or Oracle.
• Strong SQL and data validation skills.
• Experience with API testing and batch processing.
• Experience testing .NET/C# applications would be highly relevant.
• Good understanding of functional, regression and non-functional testing.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, Xray and/or JIRA.
• Strong defect management and test documentation experience.
• Comfortable working with business users and supporting UAT.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work across technical and business teams.
