IT Application Specialist – 6 Month FTC Cambridge (Hybrid: 3 days onsite / 2 days remote) £45k
Are you an experienced Applications Engineer looking for your next challenge? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established IT team at the heart of one of Cambridge’s most well-known business. You’ll play a key role in keeping business-critical applications running smoothly while also shaping the way new technologies are introduced into the environment.
What you’ll be doing:
- Working as part of a skilled Applications Team you’ll be responsible for:
- Configuring, deploying, and packaging applications in a managed Windows environment (covering Microsoft Office, engineering applications, business software, and OS deployment tools)
- Supporting and optimising Citrix environments
- Ensuring compliance, keeping applications patched, secure, and up to date
- Upgrading various applications
- Delivering functionality improvements
- Working across application virtualisation, deployment methodologies, and automation

We’re looking for someone who thrives in a technical environment, can think methodically, and has the confidence to challenge and improve existing ways of working. You’ll need a mix of strong technical knowledge and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
