Summary: The Application Support Engineer will join a high-performing eTrading Production Support team in London, focusing on critical support for Rates and Credit electronic trading platforms. This role involves managing production support activities, troubleshooting incidents, and ensuring platform stability across a global infrastructure. The position requires extensive experience in supporting business-critical applications and strong technical skills in both Windows and Linux environments. The contract is for 6 months and is classified as inside IR35.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day production support activities, ensuring maximum platform availability and stability.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot and resolve incidents across business-critical eTrading platforms.
  • Perform root cause analysis and drive permanent fixes for recurring issues.
  • Support and maintain Windows and Linux-based application environments.
  • Coordinate with development, infrastructure, market vendors and business users to resolve production issues efficiently.
  • Manage change, release and deployment activities, ensuring adherence to operational standards.
  • Improve platform resilience, reliability, performance and observability.

Application Support Engineer (eTrading Production Support)

Location: London

Working Pattern: 50% office-based (initially 100% onsite until fully up to speed)

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Application Support Engineer to join a high-performing eTrading Production Support team within a global financial markets environment. The team provides critical support for Rates and Credit electronic trading platforms, supporting complex, business-critical applications across a global infrastructure spanning London, New York, Singapore, Tokyo, Montreal and Mumbai. The role supports more than 800 Windows and Linux Servers and numerous electronic trading venues in a follow-the-sun operating model.
