Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide day to day support for business-critical insurance applications within the Wholesale division
  • Investigate and resolve incidents, service requests, and application related issues in a timely manner
  • Write and interrogate SQL queries to analyse issues, validate data, and support troubleshooting activities
  • Work closely with third party vendors and internal stakeholders during incidents, upgrades, and changes
  • Support release management, operational checks, and ongoing application monitoring activities
  • Maintain clear technical documentation, process notes, and support procedures
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and resilience
  • Communicate technical issues clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Key Skills:

  • Experience within Application Support, Production Support, Service Operations, or a similar technical support environment
  • Experience supporting business critical applications within insurance, financial services, or another regulated environment
  • Strong SQL and database interrogation skills
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work closely with business users and third-party vendors
  • Analytical and proactive mindset with an interest in process improvement and operational ownership
  • Experience supporting PAS, underwriting, or insurance related platforms would be advantageous
  • Knowledge of Eclipse, London Market systems, or SaaS application environments would be beneficial
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes, incident management, or change management frameworks would be advantageous

Senior Application Support Analyst

The organisation has a strong reputation within the market and operates a modern technology environment supporting underwriting, operations, and core insurance platforms. The role sits within the Wholesale IT division supporting business critical applications used across the insurance life cycle.

Role Overview
An opportunity for an Application Support Analyst to join a small, highly competent operational support team responsible for the support and stability of core insurance applications, including the Eclipse PAS platform. The role focuses on application support, incident management, SQL/data investigation, vendor coordination, and continuous improvement across a mix of SaaS and business critical systems.

This position would suit someone currently working within application support, production support, or technical operations who is looking to step into a broader role with greater ownership and business exposure within the London Market insurance space.
