Summary: The Application Specialist role at Eviden involves providing application support services, including troubleshooting and incident resolution for existing applications. The position requires collaboration with clients and third-party suppliers, as well as the development and implementation of application fixes and enhancements. Candidates must be eligible for SC level security clearance and be willing to participate in an on-call rota. Key Responsibilities:
- Providing application support services (2LS and 3LS) for existing applications and solutions.
- Troubleshooting, monitoring, and incident and problem resolution (root cause analysis).
- Liaising with the Client, their Partners, and third-party suppliers for application support.
- Using a helpdesk tool (e.g., ServiceNow) for call management.
- Developing and implementing fixes and enhancements to applications.
- Assisting in the upgrade of existing applications to new versions.
- Documenting and onboarding/decommissioning of applications.
- Supporting the implementation and ongoing improvements of automation tooling.
- Working to defined contractual service levels.
- Providing 24x7 on-call service for high priority incidents.
Key Skills:
- Experience in business application support within an Application Management or Support environment.
- Experience with the Wonderware suite of products.
- Experience with .NET and SQL Server.
- Ability to generate bug fixes and undertake changes and enhancements.
- Experience using a Helpdesk tool (e.g., ServiceNow).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a flexible ‘can do’ attitude.
- Willingness to learn development/DevOps skills.
- ITIL qualification (ITIL 4 certification preferred).
- Experience with Cloud technologies, specifically MS Azure.
