Summary: The Application / Release Manager will play a vital role in ensuring compliance, risk management, and application governance within a leading global financial bank's technology ecosystem. This position involves performing administrative tasks related to risk and security, collaborating with various teams, and maintaining high standards of security and reliability. The role requires technical exposure and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment. Proficiency in regulatory documentation in Traditional Chinese is essential for supporting compliance activities in the China market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform administrative and non-technical tasks related to risk, security, and compliance deliverables (e.g., access reviews, assessments, questionnaires, and procedural requirements) for supported applications.
  • Track and support technical security and risk activities performed by development teams (e.g., remediation of non-permitted technology, security vulnerabilities, technical recovery planning, and disaster recovery exercises).
  • Collaborate with infrastructure teams to incorporate requirements, including requests for additional storage.
  • Assist with audit exams and risk assessments for applications.
  • Work closely with vendors to ensure third-party applications meet organizational standards.
  • Maintain accurate application data in systems of record.
  • Respond to ad hoc inquiries and questions about applications.
  • Certify accuracy of application records periodically (at least every 180 days) across all lifecycle stages.
  • Provide oversight for third-party managed applications to ensure compliance with organizational objectives, SLAs, and control requirements.
  • Drive remediation programs with effective plans and timelines to reduce risk.
  • Proactively manage upcoming infrastructure needs and exceptions.
  • Lead discussions with support teams and stakeholders to aid decision-making.
  • Operate in a matrixed environment across development, production support, infrastructure, risk, and business units to identify and remediate compliance issues.

Key Skills:

  • Ability to read and understand regulatory documentation in Traditional Chinese is required, as the role involves supporting compliance and risk activities for the China market.
  • Technical exposure with Linux, Java, SQL, MQ Series.
  • Experience with Jira & CI/CD deployment pipelines.
  • Strong understanding of risk and compliance standards in financial services.
  • Knowledge of banking infrastructure and application integration.
