Summary: The Application Packager role focuses on ensuring the quality of packaged applications according to customer specifications. Responsibilities include adhering to packaging processes and standards, managing service transitions, and engaging in application packaging using both legacy and modern technologies. The position requires a strong understanding of application lifecycle management and best practices in deployment. This is a contract role operating inside IR35 for a duration of six months.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for meeting the quality standards expected by the customer.
• Ensuring the packaged application is suitably compatible within the environment needed.
• To follow best practice guidelines for MSIx, MSI and App-V work.
• To follow best deployment practices for MECM, Intune work.
• To adhere where necessary to customer application packaging standards.
• To document work as defined in best practice guidelines.

Key Skills:

• Experience in MSI packaging using a variety of tools, ability to cope with complex applications.
• Experience in App-V Sequencing.
• Experience in Intune Wrapping.
• Able to demonstrate a good knowledge of VBScript and PowerShell scripting skills.
• Having previously been in a senior role in either a leadership or mentoring capacity.
• Able to demonstrate a solid understanding of application lifecycle management.
• Experience in or able to demonstrate knowledge of a consulting environment.
• Troubleshoot applications.
• Write documentation and create reports on application work if required.
• A good influencer.
• Holds a current driving licence and able to get onsite for the role.
