Summary: The Application Engineer will lead global project control activities within a prominent engineering firm specializing in power conversion and drive technologies. This role involves collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure project success, managing day-to-day team activities, and applying engineering expertise to meet customer needs. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the technical execution of customer engineering projects by defining project scope, developing schedules, and monitoring progress from start to finish.
- Provide technical guidance and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Proposal Management, Cost Estimating, Product Engineering, Sourcing, customers, partners, and engineering subcontractors.
- Apply engineering knowledge and industry best practices to support project delivery and achieve customer expectations.
- Identify and resolve technical and project-related challenges, escalating complex issues when necessary.
- Coordinate day-to-day activities within the engineering team and ensure work is effectively distributed to meet project deadlines.
- Work closely with the Sales team to establish priorities and align project objectives with customer requirements.
- Contribute to a collaborative team environment while continuously developing technical expertise and supporting business goals.
Key Skills:
- Experience in Engineering, Technology, or Customer Project Engineering.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant work experience.
- Strong organizational and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
