Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the technical leader/manager to develop a scope of work and plan schedule for customer projects.
  • Provide technical leadership and interface with Proposal Management, Cost Estimating, Partners, Customers, GE Product Engineering, Sourcing, and Engineering sub-contractors.
  • Develop conceptual knowledge of professional discipline and apply general business knowledge.
  • Resolve issues using established procedures and consult with supervisors for complex issues.
  • Coordinate daily work within the team and balance the team’s workload to meet customer requirements.
  • Define priorities in collaboration with the sales team.

Key Skills:

  • Basic experience in Engineering/Technology & Customer Project Engineering.
  • Knowledge level comparable to a Bachelor's degree or relevant experience.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

Role Summary

The Application Engineer is responsible for providing technical expertise and support throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring that customer requirements are translated into effective technical solutions. Working closely with customers, sales teams, project managers, and engineering functions, the role focuses on developing application designs, technical specifications, and system configurations that meet both customer expectations and business objectives. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve technical challenges, support project execution, and drive successful implementation. The Application Engineer serves as a key technical point of contact, providing guidance on product capabilities, system integration, and application performance. They also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance processes, standardize engineering practices, and improve customer satisfaction

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Serves as the technical leader/manager to develop a scope of work and plan schedule and monitor engineering activities for customer projects.
  • Provide technical leadership and interface with Proposal Management, Cost Estimating, Partners, Customers, GE Product Engineering, Sourcing, Engineering sub-contractors.
  • Developing conceptual knowledge of professional discipline.
  • May include support roles with specialized expertise or technical knowledge in broad area.
  • Applies general knowledge of business developed through education or experience.

Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college ( or a high school diploma with relevant experience).
