Summary: The role of Application Engineer (AVD) involves supporting a major application integration and migration programme in a modern Azure-based environment. The position requires hands-on experience with application packaging, deployment, and secure delivery, particularly within Azure Virtual Desktop. This is a key role that emphasizes troubleshooting and technical support. The contract is for 6 months and is classified as outside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Package, test & deploy apps into Azure Virtual Desktop
- Support and troubleshoot Microsoft Azure
- Deliver application onboarding & integration
- Operate in a Zero Trust model using Zscaler
- Support technical discovery, documentation & issue resolution
Key Skills:
- Strong experience with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD)
- Application packaging (MSIX, App-V, Intune, SCCM)
- Understanding of Zero Trust security principles
- Experience with Microsoft Entra ID/Conditional Access
- Background in app deployment, migration or transformation projects
- Strong troubleshooting & communication skills
